A credit card in the main driver's name is required for booking and renting the vehicle, however you may opt to pay by other means at termination of rental, subject to specific terms and conditions being met. At the time of rental, an authorisation is obtained on your credit card based on the estimated rental charges. There must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges. For vehicle groups Economy (A and B), Compact Manual (C) and Compact Automatic (D), the minimum age is 21 years old with a young driver's surcharge of EUR 5.20 (excluding tax) per day, maximum EUR 52.00 (excluding tax ) per rental for drivers under 25 years. All Hertz vehicles are rented with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank or a local refuelling charge will apply. Fuel Purchase Option (FPO) - For convenience, you may purchase a tank of fuel from Hertz at the time of rental at a price that is competitive with local fuel stations. This method eliminates the need for you to refill the tank before returning. Please be aware that we are unable to give a refund for unused fuel. One-way rentals One way rentals are those whereby the customer starts the rental in one location and returns the vehicle to another. Availability is based on the location restrictions and the vehicle type being taken one-way. Fees for one-way will be assessed at time of booking. Insurance Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) - is an optional service which, if accepted, reduces your financial liability for damage to the Hertz vehicle, its parts and accessories, except for theft, attempted theft or vandalism, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Super CDW (SCDW) - If you opted for CDW, or if your rate includes CDW, you may also wish to purchase an additional protection, Super CDW (SCDW), to waive the already limited liability in case of damage to the Hertz vehicle, its parts and accessories, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Package (PKG) - If you opted for CDW and TP covers, you may wish to purchase an added protection, "Package (PKG)" to waive the already limited liability in case of damage to, or loss of, the Hertz vehicle, its parts and accessories. Package (PKG) is not available for customers on business contract rate rentals. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) - This option covers the authorized drivers and passengers (Accidental death, Disablement, Medical expenses). Theft Protection (TP) - Theft Protection is an optional service which, if accepted, reduces your financial liability for loss of, or damage to the Hertz vehicle, due to the theft or attempted theft or vandalism (including its parts and accessories) provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. This conditions are applicable only if a police protocol and an accident report are presented. If not, you will be responsible for all damages to the Hertz vehicle.
