The Passenger Terminal was opened on 4th of November 2001. The architectural design of the new Terminal is a twenty-first century design and fulfills all world requirements and standards. The Passenger Terminal covers the area estimated at ca. 14.000 m2. The capacity of the Terminal was assessed for 1.2-1.5 million passengers per year. At the same time, the Airport may provide service to 430 arriving passengers and 450 departing passengers, giving a total of 880 passengers per hour that are the equivalent of three aircrafts of B-737 class. For the main rooms of the passenger service, the new Terminal provides Ice's highest A category standard. There are 16 check-in stands and 5 gates at the Terminal. Passengers can make use of air-conditioned spacious departure and arrival rooms, an elegant restaurant, bars, banks, shops, Internet cafes, 7 rent-a-car stands, and a viewing area. Passengers going abroad can do their shopping in duty-free shops and spend their time in separate exclusive Business-Class rooms. There are luxury VIP rooms for special guests at our Airport. The new Passenger Terminal is an intelligent building, one in which the heating, air conditioning, monitoring systems, as well as alarm and fire systems are fully integrated and automated. The Terminal has been adopted to the needs of the disabled. The departure and arrival rooms, both domestic and international, are designed in ways allowing for adjustment to the norms of the European Union.

The total surface of the apron is 70.000 m2. The strength of apron is PCN52/R/A/W. The apron is equipped with draining system (Aco dren) with one absorptive well. The apron is located in the take off field, where ten airliners and about ten General Aviation planes can park simultaneously. There is a possibility of using the military apron which is located in the north part of the airport. The total surface of the military apron is 49.200 m2.

The runway is 2.500 m long and 50 m wide with 60 m shoulders. Its surface is made of asphalt and concrete. Its strength is PCN DS 49. The runway is equipped with navigation lights and radio-navigation system ILS, enabling the airport to serve aircraft of any type. Currently the airport is equipped with precision approach system - "29" from above the city.

The taxiing route is 23 m wide. Its surface is made of asphalt and concrete.

For continuous day and night operation of the Ławica airport a modern system of navigation aid lights supplied by a Finnish company IDMAN OY was installed in 1996. The lights of glide-path on the main direction were arranged according to cat. I of ICAO in the form of a cross, 900 m long with the transverse member at 300 m from the runway threshold, with the flashlight axis consisting of 30 lighting fixtures. The runway is marked along both edges with yellow and white lights. At the beginning and end of the runway threshold lamps were placed next to green and red cross-bars. The taxiing route towards platform is marked with blue light lamps. Depending on the weather conditions and visibility the controllers chose one of the five pre-set illumination intensity levels: 1, 3, 10, 30 or 100%. The navigation aid lights can also be controlled by the power service personnel via computer. To ensure unbreakable operation of the lighting system two power lines have been supplied and a generator provided as a back-up source of electricity. For reliable operation of the control system fibre-optical cables were used.
